the story

Vagabonding is a round-the- world travelogue created by Mike P, an optimist from Chicago. Mike traveled on his own through Asia and East Africa and updated this site from the road.

The trip is over, but the site remains. All the travelogue, video, and photo entries are in their archives.

Site Credits

There are a number of people who helped make this site possible.

Chris O'Brien, a former coworker, good friend, and fellow traveler provided invaluable design, architecture, and motivational advice.

Dave Giunta has been an ever-present design consultant, video motivator, and technical resource.

Chris Jennings and Jen Mayer of kitemath helped me evolve and refine the site design. In one deft stroke, they devised a whole series of print collateral. Jen also came up with the idea for the travel ephemera images that you see at the top of every page.

Phil Rampulla helped me refine the logotype.

Nils Hanson of Camino Project encouraged me to keep things simple.

Chad Jordan was a sounding board for early messaging and print collateral ideas.

Guido Mendez helped me refine the color palette.
